Victoria Health Club will service athletes and sports clubs alike with access to high-tech and advanced sports recovery facilities to improve performance and recovery in individuals. Our recovery facilities are a great way to take time to rest, repair and strengthen the body after a workout.

Our facilities focus on stimulating blood flow to remove metabolic waste and deliver nutrients into our muscles, tendons and ligaments. Stretching and replacing energy with food and drink are further ways to enhance recovery.

Benefits of Recovery

Compression Boots

Compression boots use compressed air to massage your legs. The initial feeling is like a blood pressure cuff being inflated around your ankle and foot. This feeling then subsides, and the inflation slowly works up the legs.

Over the course of the session, the boots feel like a deep pressure massage. The relaxing massage improves blood flow and can help treat Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness and increase your range of motion. Once you take the boots off that you experience the light weightless feeling through the legs.

Theragun Massage Therapy

Theragun massage tools provide rapid bursts of pressure into muscle tissue to aid in muscle recovery. The rythmic pulse of the Theragun encourages the delivery of oxygen and nutrients into the muscles and other tissues while also accelerate the removal of lactic acid from the muscles.

Not only do Theraguns encourage relief and recovery, our Theraguns can also be used to prepare and warm-up muscles for the workout ahead of them. It’s important to find what works for you.

Contrast Therapy

The rapid temperature change of moving between our hydrotherapy pool (34°C) and ice bath (10°C) helps to increase circulation and achieve a number of health and wellbeing benefits.

Contrast therapy works on the concept of vasodilation and vasoconstriction of the blood vessels, which alternates the blood from flowing to the internal organs (when in cold) and the extremities (when in hot), which helps reduce inflammation, relieve muscles, enhance sleep, and improve focus and mood.
